In My Garage

I'm not making promises but I'm pretty sure that in my garage, are full camp pix from 69-75.I didn't have the heart to throw them out. After the camp closed, we visited my sister at Che-Na-Wah and I walked down to Balfour.I, er, may have taken a few mementos of the trip.Like a few bunk plaques maybe?Probably with the pictures in the garage...

  • The garage has proven to be vast and, at times, dangerous to explore.  One day I'll get to the back!

  • Say, Elliot, did you get any bunk plaques that I made? One was a painting of Jimi Hendrix, Bunk 8, "Eighth Experience". The other was a painting from the New Riders album, Panama Red.

  • This entire site has just about put me into a hospital. I am reading names I have not heard from in nearly 40 years! Hope things are well with you.
  • I remeber Bob Kemner shooting the bird in one of those early 70s entire camp photo -
  • I found some and moved them indoors.
Will try to take a digital picture of them soon.
  • You have to post those pics. I love seeing how the place was before in closed.
  • Todd: I'm hungry. Mom never could cook like Otto.
  • I have found the camp pix from 71,72,&73. Bruce Cohen will confirm that in each picture, various kids in the front row are flashing the "bird"! I will have them posted on this site over the weekend. Neal Freiman
  • I believe Phyllis can confirm that Elliott holds the distinguished honor to be the only camper in Balfour history to never order a substitute meal to replace the current meal being served. Good to hear you're doing well!
  • If you can scan those jumbo pix and post them here it would be great.
