Okay...time to put your money where your mouth's are...A proposal...my family lives in the Hudson Valley in Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County but we also have a house in Lake Luzerne, mid way between Saratoga and Lake George. {Exit 18 from the Northway.} I am proposing a Balfour Reunion in Mid Summer, 2009..Lets go for the last weekend in July or first weekend in August. We can use my house as a home base. I have been up to camp a few times..it is about 45 mins to an hour from my house. Get everyone to reply to this posting and I will gladly help to coordinate it with Dave Cohen and anyone/everyone who wants to be part of this craziness..Just Let Me Know!!!

Now that I've rejoined the ranks of the gainfully employed -- I was "downsized" 1/5 after 16 years at WNOR in Norfolk-Virginia Beach -- I can say with some confidence that I should be able to make it. I'm now living in the Baltimore area, the new program director of classic rock 100.7 the Bay. I'm a "bachelor" for now -- the plan is for my family to remain back in Virginia Beach for a year. While that sucks it does put me a few hours closer to New York, and gives me more freedom for a trip like this. Just as long as I get to bring my keyboard so we can have a nice, drunken jam session! :-)
Hi Bruce. Wonderful idea. Keep me posted, but consider me a maybe (Seattle's a long way). I'll also let me brother -- "Camper Stu" (Camper of the Year 1973) know. It's quite cool that Neal has contact info for Ivan Wagner. I was in Zurich on business last September; I wish I'd known. (Bruce, do you remember that Quote of the Camp from Ivan -- "Give me green!!"?) We definitely need to let Bob Martin know (I visited him in Edinburgh right after college in 1976.) He posted on another summer camp nostalgia page (http://208.109.195.98/detail.asp?id=62) and said his email address is muirpark@btopenworld.com.
B, I too am all in!!! I will try to contact Ivan Wagner in Switzerland. He lives in Zurich. Neal(Gawk) Freiman. (a nick name is still a nick name I guess!)
The Cohen family is all in on the idea of a Balfour Lake Camp Alumni Reunion. Put together an alumni committee and we'll throw a real Balfour Bash. Let us know.
