Potato Pancakes

Remember that speech that Bernie used to give every year about "Potato Pancakes"? That used to really crack me up. It went something like this: In the mess hall, in front of the entire camp, Bernie would call attention to himself. Then, while grasping a potato pancake in his hand, raised high, he would recite this speech:

 

"This is a potato pancake.

 

Some people like them with applesauce.

 

Some people like them with sour cream.

 

Some people like them with applesauce and sour cream."

 

Then there would be a few seconds of silence, while his message sunk in, followed by much laughter! Bernie, if you're reading this, to this day I love eating potato pancakes- with neither applesauce nor sour cream, but with ketchup! Thanks for the memories.

Yuck! I don't remember that. That's sick. Could you imagine biting into a mouthful of shaving cream?
