Remember the Color War event where we built these two huge bonfires, down on the soccer field? The object was to burn a rope in two that was stretched between the two goal posts. Which ever team burned the rope first, won the event. I remember one year, I went into the woods the day before the event, and pre-stacked about 2 cords of dry, split firewood. Needless to say, we won the event, amidst cries of "foul". One team chanted, "Al's wood, it's no good!" Our team yelled, "Al's wood, it's so good!" I think that year we were the "Blue Banditos". I have a memory like a steel trap, it's rusted shut!
