Everyone in the mid Hudson valley knows and respects Rabbi Jaffe. I don’t recall Hershel as a fellow camper but we were at Balfour at the same time.
Those years were difficult for the Dunn’s and the silvers. Baco took so many campers and with it our bunks were depleted, joint shows with the girls camp were ended, and socials were distinctly awkward with the Baco boys present.
Hershel Jaffe was another young man, groomed for professional excellence and I’m certain moldedto some extent by the example of outstanding counselors at Balfour.
