I only Have Great memories of Balfour it was like one big happy family. You always knew who was coming back it was the same families year after year. i started as a camper and became a waiter in 1962 and jr counselor in 1963. iwas there when the Dunns and Silvers owned it and then when it transitioned to the Glicksterns. The best year was when i was a waiter. we were in bunk 3. as a camper i was in bunk 15. 2years running. Bunks 16 and 17 were never used when i was there. I remeber hearing about when all the bunls were used it was just before i started there. I am still in touch with one camper from those days. the picture at left is of me, my wife and kids back in the 70s. i am now married 40 years and my daughter is amarried with 2 bousa and my son is a pediatric cardiad intensivist at the Miami childrens hospital in miami florida. Ihave lkived in florida for th epast 28 years. I am a cpa with my own practice in pompano beach, fla i havent been in the adirondacks in 40 years
